I saw Tom's star last night. The heavy storm clouds finally parted after four days,
almost ten inches of rain, and record floods.
A huge bright star shone in the clear sky behind the clouds as the last of the twilight went.

So sorry to hear this news. Although I have never met Tom & Jackie,
I always saw they were kind souls who gave freely to Airedale & Cairn rescue.
It looks like Tom was still giving when he thought of Jackie in his final days,

Our hearts are aching for you so much. The arms that you feel around you and
the hands that hold yours are all of us, your far-flung and extended family.
You shared Tom with us so fully that we, too, feel the great space he has left behind in all our lives.

It must have been quite a sight to see him striding over The Bridge (because of course, the chair didn't need to go),
amid a sea of adoring animals to be greeted by all and sundry: "Here comes Tom!!"

And leading the bunch would be Carrie, Annie, McGregor & MacIain, barely containing their excitement.
