Evgeni is 5!
His first week with us, I didn't know if he'd live
to the end of the week for all the destruction he created.
Today, Evgeni is both my little snuggle bug and my Tasmanian Devil.
Evgeni absolutely adores clearing the neighborhood of bunnies.
A few big bad barks and the bunnies go running.
He has yet to catch one (thank goodness),
but he's sure if he keeps trying, he will eventually get one.
Today we celebrated with rotisserie chicken and cupcakes,
so the happy birthday boy is snoozing happily on his bed,
dreaming of the excitement the next year will bring.

Sidney turns 13 today!
I say it every year, but it still rings true . . .
I cannot believe my little boy has gotten so old, so fast!
Sidney is my laid-back boy.
From day one, his favorite things have been snow, any and all treats,
walks, and play dates with his friends.
He is master of the tuck-butt-runs and the spins
He runs from the clippers, but loves a good bath or a splash in the pool.
He is just a happy little guy!
Honestly, I didn't think we'd make it to 13.
We celebrated up big last year, thinking it was our last opportunity.
Sidney developed GOLPP (Geriatric onset laryngeal paralysis polyneuropathy) in 2020.
He had the tire back surgery that October and we were told
this would probably buy us an additional year with our boy.
Well, we are now TWO years past surgery and while his breathing is good,
he's developing the hindend weakness that goes along with GOLPP.
On top of all that, in April, Sidney had a benign growth
removed from his face and a squamous cell carcinoma removed from his left hip.
Sidney is a trooper and keeps happily trudging forward.
We hope to continue to share his love and joy for life for a long time yet . . .
and hope to celebrate again next year!
