Andréa writes: I had the honor and privilege of rescuing & fostering BAILEY, and a more affectionate shadow I've never known. When he comes here to visit, he jumps right on my lap and stays there. I wonder if our rescues & fosters remember who started them on a new & wonderful life. I like to think they do. Hurricane Irma, 9-13 September 2017 Due to a mishmash of circumstances, none of which were foreseen, The Yarnot-MUSHINSKY Quartet were suddenly to be left alone the day before Hurricane Irma was to make landfall on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Neal & I made the hour drive to pick them up and install them safely in our cement-block, hurricane-resistant-windowed house. Luckily for us all, our dogs and The Y-M Quartet knew each other and got along well. The dogs all spent hurricane night either on my bed, or on top of Neal on his recliner. We all slept through the storm. We had no electricity; Neal had to fly back to Wisconsin, so I drove them home that Wednesday. Zooey, Sam & Booker In 2016, Zooey was attacked by a neighbor's dog; you can read the story of her ordeal HERE Easter, 21 April 2019 Bailey, Zooey, Sam & Booker CHRISTMAS 2019 The Yarnot-MUSHINSKY Quartet has visited us many times, They and our dogs, no matter how many we had, ALWAYS got along wonderfully well. At one Mini Get-Together, we had 14 dogs; no fights, but BAILEY & Rescue Westie ANGEL DID cooperate to attempt to steal our mini sub sandwiches! You can read that story HERE. BOOKER 21 November 2006-10 June 2021 Rescued by CRUSA member BJ Isaacs, from four years of abuse; adopted by Patricia & Henry, who worked with him to settle his nerves. RAINBOW BRIDGE Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together . . . Author Unknown 2 October 2021: Bailey 27-31 October 2021: Bailey & Zooey spent several days at Camp Skrenninger whilst Patricia & Henry attended a family reunion. Bailey liked to have his picture taken . . . . . . but Zooey preferred to spend her time under my computer desk. Bailey will do ANYthing and go ANYwhere to get your attention!
