Misha

Dog's Name:  Misha

Media:  Computer Photographic Transfer; Machine Quilting

Other info:  Misha came to us in May of 1988; she had been a pet store puppy that grew to be much larger and stronger than her former people expected her to be (and this was at only five months of age!).

In her 11 years with us, Misha has had cruciate ligament replacement, almost bled to death before she had her emergency splenectomy, and various lump removals. And she just keeps on going . . . she enjoys runs in the state park and naps on the couch, the bed, the other couch, the other bed . . .

Airedales come in so many sizes, shapes, and shades of black & tan; I incorporated these various shades, from black to gray and from red to beige, in my Log Cabin quilt square. I must thank my good friend Barb Bullock, who gave me lessons and refreshed my memory on how to design and sew quilt squares, and the use of her sewing machine, truly a sign of real friendship!
