Just thought Beau-Dudley & I would stop by to say Hello. Beau-Dudley has completed four weeks of Obedience School. He is doing GREAT! Of course, I think he is one of the *best* dogs there. I must admit, he is pretty calm with all the chaos with the other dogs.
B.D. is getting much better with strangers. No more growling. He checks everyone out for treats.
B.D. is learning how to play. Tug-of-war is one of his favorite games. Chasing the ca*ts while in the back yard is another favorite game. He also likes to throw things in the aire then chase them. It certainly warms the heart to see him so happy.
There is no question that B.D. was shot (beside the bird shot in his ear and leg). We were walking by a Track Meet tonight when they shot off the starter gun. B.D. was so terrorized by the sound, it broke my heart. I tried to comfort him but he was really frightened and I'm sure with good reason. Even as we were almost two blocks away, they fired another shot and B.D. just wanted to run. Poor boy. I'm sure the noise brought back memories of his past.
B.D. now weights close to 70 pounds, so it's time to watch the waist line. He looks wonderful.
I feel so blessed. Beau-Dudley is aire beneath my wings.

The picture of Beau-Dudley standing in the snow was taken today. We have about a foot of snow (it's still snowing hard) and the temperature is 28 degrees. | |
Beau-Dudley has really filled out and is a happy boy. He loves to play, go running with me, chase the c*ts,
go for walks and dig in my garden (sigh).
Oops, Beau-Dudley just gave me a nudge; I forgot to add two of his MOST favorite things are eating &
napping.

We would like to acknowledge the work of Mark Forbes, who was the keeper of the map and planned the ATUR runs. Without him, there wouldn't have been any ATUR runs!
Thanks to SandE for developing the pictures
and to Lesley for scanning them.
