DAY SIX:
LAST DIVE WITH BARBADOS BLUE

THURSDAY, 19 JANUARY 2012

We dove The Boot and The Fort today.
Nice dives, but the "plan" as briefed was not followed,
so I ended up with another long safety stop
(nine minutes - normal would have been three).
Steve had an 11-minute decompression stop this time.
Rather than violate the computer (my newest one - the good one),
I swapped my camera for the Surface Marker Buoy with the dive master
and waited with Steve until both our computers cleared.

We were last on the boat, but I don't feel responsible.
I had half my air left and was anticipating a shallow off-gas
when suddenly it was, "Everybody up!".

The Boot at the drop-off,
after which the dive site is named
(looks more like a keg to me)

A trumpet fish in dark phase;
something I don't often see.

Did you know that
turtles jam themselves
under the reef to sleep?

This one was waking up.
