BARNEY'S STITCHES COME OUT 17 DECEMBER 2015
	On 18 December, Janet writes: Barney's stitches - staples - came out yesterday. His incision has healed well, but there's a ways to go. It's still pretty tender and although he needs one, no bath for a couple of days and he still has to wear his cone to bed. He is restricted for two more weeks from playing rough and jumping to make sure the ring has secured itself. The internal stitches will take four to six months to dissolve.
He's going to stay on the lactulose until we see Dr. Prink in mid March. The hope is that it removes ammonia from his system and helps his liver do its job. Three more days of antibiotics and those are done.
We are guessing his dental will have to wait til after his blood work on March 14. We hope his numbers will have improved drastically, but we doubt they will be completely normal. Fingers crossed!!
He's not being cooperative with the camera. We will try for some happy shots on our walk tomorrow morning. MARILYN ROYLE: Such wonderful news. Janet an&d Larry are incredible foster parents to Barney, and Barney is such a strong trooper to go through all of this. He will be a wonderful addition to his forever home.
