Whilst I was printing out our Howliday cards this afternoon, an egret came to visit, standing on the courtyard wall . . . He was looking down from the wall at the birdbath, so I thought perhaps he'd come for a drink of clean water, or maybe a clean water bath . . . After a few minutes of being buffetted by the wind gusts, he left, without partaking of any water and not finding any lizards for lunch, either.
