GOLIATH CAME BACK . . . . . . AND FOUND A NEW HOME SEPTEMBER 2010
Shell Lewis writes: Goliath (now named JoJo) was returned to CRUSA. Vi & Les Miller of Kenosha Wisconsin were disappointed when the dog they applied for was no longer available, but they couldn't be more thrilled with the wonderful Cairn they adopted last weekend. JoJo was originally a puppy mill dog from Missouri and was being fostered by veteran CRUSA foster parents, Shelley & Paul Joyce of Illinois. Vi & Les traveled the seven hours to their home and overnighted there before returning home with their new boy. It was a busy week for the Midwest team and we are so appreciative to our new families & foster homes. In addition, I want to thank Jodi, Carol, Shannon & Eileen on our fabulous reference team for doing their usual "bang up" job on the reference checks. And a big "thanks" also goes out to Lisa Zulegar of Wisconsin, Diane Pease of Wisconsin, Marla Lunt & Nan Chernik at K-9 Playtime in Mundelein, Illlinois and Pam Spacek of Illinois for the important roles they played in finding our Cairns new homes.
	On 10 October, Vi writes: Here are some pictures of our boy, JoJo. We had to have him with his pumpkin! He's so cute, isn't he? I gave him a bath yesterday so he would look like a true beautiful Cairn. Oh my, we love him so much. Have a great Halloween, everyone!

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in my warm new bed. I'd like to open my baggage Lest I forget, There is so much to carry - So much to regret. Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top - Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there by my leash hide Fear and Shame. As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave - I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. I loved them, the others, the ones who left me, But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me. Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack? Or will you just look at my things And take me right back? Do you have the time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage, To never re-pack? I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see, But I do come with baggage - Will you still want me? -- Evelyn Colbath
