On 17 March, Linette writes: Little Miss BJ has an appointment with Dr. Dickenson on Wednesday, 19 March at 10:00 a.m. He is going to check out her ears and see if she is healthy enough to get a dental done. I finally got a chance to really look in her mouth. She is missing several teeth and what remains are nasty looking. BJ's hair is so very thin that you can see her skin and her bony little rib cage. Hopefully he has some suggestions to help with her weight. Here you can see the outside of her ear and how it lies down . . . the cartilage is swollen and looks like it may be dead or dying. Doc will let us know Wednesday. And the next day: I turned around and there she was with a toy! BJ with her first toy!
