ANSWERS TO FAQ:
* It does NOT hurt. There is discomfort . . . as though I had had a crying jag and my eyes are gritty & tired; the only pain I had was for a few hours after the anesthetic wore off, but some Tylenol took care of that. I've had dental work that hurt more than this procedure did.
* No aspirin is allowed for two weeks before and one week after this procedure.
* You COULD have this procedure done in hospital, for a lot more money & time, if it is important that you be completely out during it. There would be pre-op x-rays, an anesthesiologist, blood tests, etc. All this for a one-hour procedure; hardly seems worth all that. I did take a very small dose of Xanax to stay calm and alleviate any claustrophobia I might feel. AND I was able to choose what background music to listen to, so I had them play some lovely classical music. I'll bet you could bring in your own CD!
* RosieVi the Shy no longer trusts me; she won't come back inside the house for me as she had begun to do . . . poor thing - she finally trusts me enough to look me straight in the eyes, and here I go, changing them. That's a ramification I hadn't thought of!
THESE, TOO, SHALL PASS . . .
