AT HOME WITH SALLEE!

On 14 January, Margo writes:
Last evening Sallee went out for Last Call and did it all. She then came to bed and stayed on the bed all night with Abby, Don & me, and slept.
Then Don got up, took them out and she was great. We praise her and give her lots of attention of doing it outside and she has decided she likes that. She even came in and jumped right up into Don's chair without giving it a thought and then stopped as if to say, "Is this okay?" and I said, "That's just fine, Sallee," so she lay down and was content.
Sallee ventured to the office today when I went to do a conference call; she followed Abby who goes under the desk because she knows when I head to the office I am going to work for a bit. They both curled up under the desk together and were just great and she wasn't nervous or anything because she took the lead from Abby that this is what we do and it's okay.
15 January:
Sallee was fine last night. I was petting her head and had stopped because I was going to go to sleep and she nudged her nose under my hand as if to say, "No don't stop that; I really like you petting my head and scratching my ears." It was the funniest thing; Don & I got a real chuckle out of it, Then she & Abby curled right next to each other and they slept there all night and didn't get up until we said, "Come on - it's time to go potty." Then she followed just like Abby does to the kitchen for breakfast; to the TV to catch morning news, then to the office so they curled up together under the desk.
After an hour of doing some work, we went in the living room where Abby & I played, but Sallee decided to jump in Don's chair and watch. Twice she jumped and ran to the toy, but then ran and jumped back onto Don's chair . . . in time, her own time. Abby was chasing & barking & having fun, so you could see she wanted to be part of it but just wasn't sure yet.
She has the potty idea down. Knows exactly where to go and comes back in the door and sits down to wait for either Don or me to unhook her leash and then she goes to catch up to Abby. That's just amazing to us.
