. . . and living The Good Life on 26 March . . .

It's been a little over three months that I got Coco from Shell Lewis, and Coco (nine months old) and Penny (15 months old) are the best of friends. As you can see, they really enjoy lying in front of the fireplace on those cold winter nights. I am so grateful for my two girls, I can't begin to tell you how much joy they have given me already. I had Coco microchipped about a month ago, so they are both protected if lost, heaven forbid.

COCO'S ONE-YEAR
18 DECEMBER 2008
|
Today, it is one year that I made the drive from Indiana to Illinois to pick up my darling Coco from Shell at her house. Where has the year gone? I continue to enjoy my retirement and enjoy even more being "daddy" to Penny (two-year-old Westie) & Coco. We always enjoy our quality time together. Who would ever think that two little pups could bring so much joy to one's life.
Every time I see a new CRUSA transport and see all those needy little faces, I feel sure that if my living arrangement were different and I had a fenced yard, I would surely have many more dogs. Although two is enough at this time.
I tell everyone I know about the wonderful work you all do to help so many dogs in need. I would like to talk to you after the Holidays as to how I might be able to help CRUSA. Unfortunately I cannot foster, but maybe there is some way I can help in this area . . . home visits, transports in this area, etc.
Also, in appreciation and gratitude to you, CRUSA and my one-year anniversary with my darling Coco, I've dropped a check for CRUSA in the mail today.
