Took Bruce to the vet here in Richmond - I'm visiting BJ -
to look at two lumps that I thought were suspicious,
one of which I found last week that I had not noticed before.
Thank goodness, they both were just fatty tumors,
but the one that is right under his leg pit may get removed
because it could grow and hinder in walking.
First we'll see how he does with the anesthesia
while getting his teeth cleaned. The vet was checking him out
and noticed that his front teeth were worn down pretty far;
she said it looked like Bruce at some point in time
had been chewing on a crate or cage and worn his teeth down.
I was noticing his breath was getting bad,
so he is going to Waco vet clinic Friday to get his teeth cleaned
and will probably have front bottom teeth removed because
she said they were worn down to the gum line and
nerves would be exposed in the not-so-far future.

Bruce has been matched with a previous adopter from CRUSA.
I'm happy and sad all at the same time. More info to come.

Bruce is going home Saturday,
so will be sending a write up tomorrow or Saturday after he leaves.
Working on it now through tears of joy for Bruce and sorrow for me;
going to be a tearjerker when he leaves.
JEAN LAWSON:
[I] wish you well, little Bruce.
