Tulip is a real sweetie . . . very affectionate . . . giving kisses all the time wherever she can. Loves to be petted & scratched whenever she can and of course we oblige her constantly.
Very thin, you can count her ribs and feel her hip bones, but loves to eat! Ate first thing when she got here with no qualms whatsoever. Does very well with going outside to go potty with everyone else and, believe it or not, NO accidents in the house . . . yet, We kennel her at night for now. She slept until we got up this a.m. without a peep out of her the whole night. No barking yet either . . . .
Our neighbors took their two dogs and our three dogs for a nice walk today . . . what a sight to behold! They said she did well considering she's supposedly never been on one . . . a walk or a leash!
Tulip is very loving and loves to be loved . . . .she lies next to me on the couch or curls up with Maggy at the end of the couch already! All three of them are getting along well. Tulip has already growled at Maggy when she moved a bit while she was lying next to her, and also at Mickey when he came close to her kennel when she was eating her "it's-bedtime-go-in-your-kennel" treat. But it was very quiet growl, not this nasty growl that scares you!
I also learned that she can't be up higher (like on the couch) while the other two are on the floor because she growls and thinks she's the boss . . . so we do the "NO Growl, Tulip" and she stops. I am sure once we do this consistantly she will learn. I haven't seen any food or treat aggression though . . . yet.
And she loves to play. I couldn't believe it when she came around the corner and dove into the toy box, dragging almost all the toys out of it and started playing! Maggy still doesn't play yet, but she's trying to a bit here & there.
She loved my girls on the corner, my neighbor,s too, very friendly, but a bit shy to begin with. And gets along with all their dogs too.
