SATURDAY, 14 MAY, 7:37 a.m. (After I commiserated that
BB wouldn't get his whipped cream in the morning):
Oh, there is whipped cream here, my lady. Of course [he got some]!
My two looked at me like, 'what? We never get cream!'
Buster slept under my right arm pit all night. Never moved,
even when I got up several times in the night.
His band is dry. Up this morning and out for business.
Good boy did his business and came in and ate his breakfast
He's lying on the back of the couch now,
waiting for his adventure to begin. My two just ignore him.
What you lookin' at? My belly band that matches my harness? Nice, huh? THIS woman has a sense of STYLE!
He is such a good boy! He just goes with the flow.
BB is barking at Henry every time he leaves and walks back into the room.
He's used to just one person.
He's trying so hard to make us all happy and proud.
What is it with Cairns and the backs of couches?
Now we're going to try to walk the pack . . . maybe . . .
we'll try to walk . . . maybe . . . .
[BB tends to go in circles when on his leash,
so he needs some work in that department.]
8:12 a.m.:
Buster's first walk with Booker and Zooey was a success!
He walked well on his leash with the pack through the field.
It got a bit dicey when we hit pavement, but he got it down.
Enough so that I'll take Buster & Booker on a walk tonight.
Zooey can only do a block with her leg.
Buster only circled my legs a few times and mostly on pavement.
Don't know why. He walked well on the grass. It seems as if he is still learning.
I'll take my treat bag with some of his kibble
and work with him walking to the side. I was told by a trainer
that the circling could be from not having ample space to move in and walk;
for example, a dog that was kept in a crate or cage a majority of the time.
I'm going to research this tonight. He is such a sweetheart.
10:37 a.m.
Well, while on our walk we saw our next door neighbors
who asked if Buster was our new dog and Henry replied he was just visiting
Still have two days and nights to convince him,
though by Buster being a sweetie and making sure he fits in.
If only my old farts would try to play with him.
That would be the clincher!
Went to breakfast with Henry this morning.
I put a crate with bed on rug in kitchen, opened the door and said,
"Crate, Buster, crate!" And he walked into the crate and lay down.
He's discovered the puzzle ball.
Trying to figure out how to obtain a treat and he's not giving up.
1:56 p.m.: Visiting
Mom called, so the four of us went to visit her in Plant City for a bit.
Here's the 89-year-old dog lover and her rescue, Sammy,
with Booker and Buster. Mom thinks we should keep Buster
and that he is beautiful and sweet.
6:06 p.m.
He lay on the couch all day at Mom's.
He is possessive of me with the others, but quickly stops his growling when told NO.
Mom's dog really wanted to play with him, but it was too new for BB.
He enjoyed looking out of her windowed doors.
I'm off to pick up dinner. Booker is showing his panties today. Silly boy!
(He stomped around Mom's place like he owned it.
He hiked his leg on every piece of furniture and doorway.
Every hour or so, he'd stand in front of me scratching & pushing
his feet backwards and grunting continuously.
Lastly, he jumped up in my lap and pushed his face into mine
and slathered me with kisses. He then jumped down and did the foot shuffle again.
That's showing his panties to me.)
6:08 p.m.
If you hear an explosion it'll be Henry when I tell him I want to keep Buster.
I'm sure our trip to Ecuador in two weeks will be an issue.
To which I reply:
That will not be a issue, as I can dogsit him at any time.
Problem solved. NEXT?!
JUDY JOHNSON:
If I played in your backyard could I lose a little weight??????
BJ ISAACS:
Cairns and couches, they love them!
Spencer is on the back of mine sitting right against my head!

NEAL SKRENES:
Mom's in your corner!
