Within two months of Rico's arrival, he had torn up Cari's cardboard toybox, so we needed another place to store all their toys. Since April was not using her wire crate in the dining room, I dumped the dog toys in there, and this is now their toy crate.
Rico immediately learned how to open the crate door, and proceeded to make it his playhouse. As you can see, no toy is thrown away before its time, no matter how tattered. You may even recognize a toy (or what's left of it) you've given to Misha (@RB), April or Cari over the years.
Cari hasn't figured out how to open the door, but when Rico does, she runs in . . . (and yes, AmyMarie Fornelli, the candy cane still has its squeaker!)
. . . and sooner or later . . .
. . . Rico falls asleep amidst all "his" toys.
