Katie writes:

I picked up Charlie at 5 p.m. today.
He had his first laser treatment today
and will go back for another on Monday.
I've been instructed to ice him
three times per day this weekend,
and of course I have all his painkillers.
He now is on an antibiotic, too.

Overall he is doing great and
Dr C. is really pleased!

That hospital was noisy . . . can I get some sleep now?

I asked about how long he thought rehab would be
with me before he could be adopted; he estimated five to six weeks.
As for residual issues, he said those lower fractures were great
and the surgery went great so he doesn't really think
there will be problems down the road, but I would still
assume as he gets older he would likely have more arthritis, etc.

His surgery was complicated and he stayed two nights as opposed to one.
But overall I am very pleased with how he is doing
and I will keep you all updated as we go along with our rehab.
