WITH CHLOE
24 JULY-7 AUGUST 2016

On 24 July, Scott writes:

Excitement on day 4! Urinary tract infection,
visit to the emergency vet in Beaufort last night.
All is good now with some antibiotics.

25 July:

The vet said it may have been stress-related. She is doing fine,
and I am happy to have found an excellent vet here in NC for these two.

How anyone could possibly surrender this sweet little girl is beyond me.
She has stayed in the cabin for the most part since it is so hot
and in the AC for most of the time. We stayed in harbor to let her
get comfortable with the boat and she has had a great time exploring,
but sleeps in the main salon with Sam and me!

[We've since been told that Chloe was originally a boat dog,
with her own life jacket, as she likes to walk along the edge of the boat.]

BJ ISAACS:
Perfect home for her then! AWESOME.

Anim

NEAL SKRENES:
Good fit all around then.

Anim

DR. HATHAWAY:
Such a happy ending! Hope you and the rest of the gang are adjusting okay to her absence.

6 August:

SEE SAM & CHLOE ON A WALK HERE!

Anim

PATRICIA YARNOT:
Looks like she's settled in. Scott sounds smitten with her. Good for her!

Anim

DR. HATHAWAY:
So cute! Two peas in a pod!

On 7 August,
I write to Scott:

You are a MIRACLE
WORKER/WALKER!
I take it they are doing fine
and she's a keeper?!

Scott replies:

She's home.
