CHUCK GOES TO THE VET

7 AUGUST 2017

Carol:

Dr. August Claybrook and her wonderful assistant Eric
took excellent care of Chuck! He has been examined from head to toe!

Chuck has some medical hurdles to overcome.
It is a mixed bag of good news and bad news.
The good news is that he doesn't have an ear infection
and that his skin problems can be treated and he will be
much more comfortable when some time has passed.
He does have a heart murmur and the problems that are consistent with heartworms.
His teeth will need attention also. He is older than previously thought
and his cataracts and eyes show the age . . .
but he can see and light is getting thru!

Join me in wishing Chuck a well-deserved nap and
an extra treat for his good behavior with Dr. Claybrook.

Bill:

Looks like a happy dog on a mission HERE

Carol:

Scott was in front with our three . . .
Chuck was wanting me to speed up the broken foot walking.

Bill:

Have they been able to hang out together?

Carol:

Yes! He loves to be with them.
All four were at vet together which made him happy.
My Cairn and one Scot are very kind . . .
the other Scottie is ready for him to go home!

He loved the spa treatment that Misty recommended.
I filled the sink with some shampoo water about three inches
to wash his dirty feet, then I used the warm wash cloths
to wipe his body all over until he can bathe.

Bill:

Good! I bet he feels a ton better - and lighter - without all that dirt.

Carol:

I can't wait to bathe him!

View from my desk . . .
Maggie doesn't leave his side.
Chuck loves the bed
you got him, William.
He feels very cozy in it.

Bill:

Good! I'll tell Misty.
She saw it on sale
and grabbed it for him.

Bill wrote a piece
about RESCUE HERE.
Well worth your time
to read it.
