CHUCK MAKES HIMSELF AT HOME

8-11 AUGUST 2017

Carol:

Chuck has enjoyed his meals today and
tolerated the meds for his skin infections.
He would like to thank everyone who is thinking of him
with this tail wag!

Bill:

Glad he's doing well. So cute! Looks better.
Looks like your other girl is still keeping him company.

Carol:

He loves to be outside and did a little digging today
He is always close to one of the girls. (Ladies' man.)

Shell:

He is so so dear. It's great to see his tail wagging. Small steps.

Carol:

Maggie gave him her fave bed in the family room and he loves resting there.

Shell:

In the video of him in your yard wagging his tail . . .
it looks like there's a "ball" of sorts on his side
(the side not facing the camera).
Is that one of the bumps you were talking about?

Carol:

Yes. That is the growth that hangs down in front of his privates.
Vet did needle biopsy; good news is that it is benign
and can come off if he has dental . . .
so thankful it wasn't cancer. He has enough problems!

He has others that don't hang . . . they look like nipples.
The vet said that they are from lying on hard ground.
No couches for our boy.

Carol:

Chuck continues to improve! He has surprised me with his affection!
He now comes right up to us for petting.
He is eating and drinking and all systems are go!
He is coughing quite a bit and has a cough suppressant
to take at night so he can sleep.
I am hoping he is recovering from a viral infection.

Chuck feels very comfortable walking around the house and outside.
This morning he took a walk around the block and enjoyed it.
So far no accidents in the house.

I chose this pic because it shows his comfort in choosing to rest
in the middle of the room and not on one of his "safe" spots.

And here is a glamour shot . . .
