CoCo went to Dr. Bruce Hansen the dermatologist on 11 April.
CoCo is doing very well, but is starting to show some flare-ups
under his chest, belly & back legs;
he is chewing on his front paws.
The vet started him on Nizoral 200mg one-quarter tablet for 40 days
and continued the Clindamycin 75mg twice daily for 18 days.
CoCo will also get Benadryl for his itching.
Dr. Hansen did another skin & ear cytology,
which did show some yeast- & bacterial-infected areas.
I will continue with the baths twice a week with the Malaseb shampoo
and apply Chlorhexiderm Mousse on his crusted areas.
I will call the vet in three to six weeks to let him know how CoCo is doing.
COCO' VET BILLS CURRENTLY TOTAL $1,048.00
I will be purchasing more shampoo and mousse for his skin.
I am hoping he will not need any more meds, but we shall see.

After talking to Dr. Hansen about CoCo's skin,
Dr. Hansen felt that CoCo needs to be bathed once a month,
unless his skin starts to break out again,
but to continue him on Benadryl twice a day for the scratching
and use the Chlorhexiderm Mousse as much as needed
to also help with the scratching.
Dr. Hansen also GAVE me PhytoVet CK Spray for those areas for CoCo.
