A BRIGHTER FUTURE AHEAD FOR COOKIE
Thanks to our generous supporters, we were able to move forward
with diagnostic testing for Cookie at Animal Eye Care of St. Charles, Illinois.
I'm picking Cookie up early from foster parent Karen
and taking her in around 7:30; the new foster home, Collette,
will pick her up at end of the day. I'm switching foster homes
because she's going to need eye drops three times a day.
This will be too difficult for one person to do.
Her new foster home is a vet tech and has a husband to assist,
so it will be easier.
The ocular ultrasound!
The two retinal tests performed on her one remaining eye this morning
determined that she is, indeed, an excellent candidate for cataract surgery!

A special "thank you" to all those who donated
towards Cookie's medical expenses.
While we have been able to raise $975 thus far,
we have another $4,000 in surgical expenses and aftercare ahead.
