COOKIE'S CATARACT SURGERY RECHECK 9 FEBRUARY 2021

At 9 a.m., Shell writes: [We're s]itting outside ophthalmologist office where we have a recheck this morning. Cookie waking up this morning . . . Cookie patiently waiting in the car to go in for appointment. Luckily the heat's working in the car because my car thermometer reads -5 outside. Cookie with vet tech Elizabeth and receptionist Lori . . . . . . who is the one holding the Dunkin' donuts. At 11:15 a.m., Shell writes: Back home. Good check up. Eye pressure is good. Slight change in medications as there is a scratch that they had hoped would go away, but it is still present, but a good report. She doesn't need to go back until early March. This pic was taken when we got home . . . I CAN SEE YOU NOW! Like every dog, Cookie thinks that visiting in the bathroom is perfectly okay. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED COOKIE RECEIVE THE GIFT OF SIGHT!

KEN DeKOVEN: So happy for her. I still remember going through that surgery and the subsequent treatment with MacGyver, who lost his sight due to diabetes. A rough go but a successful one.
