COOKIE'S CATARACT SURGERY RECHECK

At 9 a.m., Shell writes:

[We're s]itting outside ophthalmologist office where we have a recheck this morning.


Cookie waking up this morning . . .

Cookie patiently waiting in the car to go in for appointment.

Luckily the heat's working in the car because my car thermometer reads -5 outside.


Cookie with vet tech Elizabeth and receptionist Lori . . .

. . . who is the one holding the Dunkin' donuts.


At 11:15 a.m., Shell writes:

Back home. Good check up. Eye pressure is good.
Slight change in medications as there is a scratch that they had hoped
would go away, but it is still present, but a good report.
She doesn't need to go back until early March.

Like every dog, Cookie thinks that visiting in the bathroom is perfectly okay.

So happy for her. I still remember going through that surgery
and the subsequent treatment with MacGyver,
who lost his sight due to diabetes. A rough go
but a successful one. It was a happy day when he could see again!
