This is how Zooey & Bailey
try to keep me sitting in one place:
Zooey lies in the kneehole of my
computer desk . . .

. . . while Bailey lies on my foot . . .

Bailey is toy-obsessive; once he latches onto a favorite toy,
it's his (until he finds another that becomes his fave, too).

So, back on 26 May, when we had our first get-together since February 2020,
Jackie I brought every dog a new toy. The quintopus
(an octopus with five legs) is Gipsy's pool toy, the one she "rescues".

It was lying on the pool deck, but on the other side of the safety fence;
Bailey insisted it was his (like the one at his house),
so we gave it to him . . .

Wouldn't this one make a lovely oil painting . . .

We thought that MAYBE if we threw it in the pool,
Bailey would jump in to "rescue" it;
Neal & I tried it the next day, but all he did was wait
'til Gipsy brought it back on the pool deck,
then he ran around the pool with this soaking,
chlorine-tasting toy in his mouth.

We had them eat a few meals in my office, just in case . . .

. . . but we quickly realized there was no food aggression
among the five, so they now eat in the same area as
The Skrenninger Trio.
