NOW PLAYING: MINUET IN F
Leopold Mozart

This courtyard was right outside my door at Clarion Suites.
It was peaceful there; a refuge in a time of sadness for me.
When I walked to the cabana to get coffee before dawn,
the large fountain in the middle of the courtyard
would already be full of bathing hummingbirds.
I brought my coffee there, pulled up a chair
and watched them fly & bathe;
there were many nests in the courtyard trees.

Dity's sister Jopie drove over from San Diego,
along with her companion, Bill.
She brought along a few clothes & accessories
for Dity to "shop" through in my room.

My Mother always loved shoes . . . Imelda Marcos had nothing on her
in her youth before The War, I've been told!

Reminiscent of the photo on Page 12
of the two of us reflected in her dressing table mirror
back in 1956 . . . if we only knew then
what we know now.
