AN AIREDALER
NEEDS OUR HELP
13 JUNE 2013
|
|
Calling All Airedalers & Friends of Joey Fineran!
|
As many of you may know by now,
Joey Fineran has recently had some
challenging medical issues that have
temporarily set her back on her heels.
|
|
You also know that Joey has all the best characteristics of
the Airedales she knows, loves, and has assisted since 1975
when a friend asked her to help place an Airedale puppy.
These characteristics will serve her well for her recovery.
Since 1975, THOUSANDS of Airedales needing assistance
have passed through her hands, leaving paw prints on her heart.
In 1990, Joey was instrumental in encouraging the
AIREDALE TERRIER CLUB OF AMERICA to take
a more active role in Airedale Rescue. The ATCA agreed
to set up an Adoption Committee if she would chair it,
which she did for the following five years.
|
That was the beginning of the wonderful
Airedale Rescue Network we all believe in,
participate in, and support today.
Paying It Forward is what this is called -
and Joey certainly has Paid it Forward.
Now Joey needs the help of the Airedale community.

|
When she is released to her home from rehab,
Joey would like to modify her bathroom to replace the tub
with a walk-in shower with a bench.
The modification will make personal care safer & easier for her.
This will undoubtedly be an expensive undertaking, but together we can make a difference.

All of the collected funds will be given to Joey for use at her discretion -
whether for modifications to her home to provide what she needs
to regain & maintain her independence;
for medical & home care costs not covered by insurance;
or whatever she determines to be most helpful to her recovery.

Let's come together in
the spirit of Airedale Rescue
and dedicate our combined
generosity to help one of our own
who has done so much
to help so many who have
desperately needed,
and benefitted from, her assistance.
Thanks very much for your participation
in this very important initiative.
