Fence at night . . .

FLORIDA

The new living room ceiling fan & light . . .

FLORIDA

. . . there wasn't one in the living room.

Four ceiling lights (kitchen, front hallway, bedroom hallway,
back hallway) are replaced with this . . .

FLORIDA

Brushed nickel has become the theme of the house;
I replace all outlet & light switchcovers, three other ceiling fans,
four inside French door handles, back & front door locksets
& deadbolts with brushed nickel.

And here is VinylJohn, the New Yawk Shyster . . .
he may LOOK like Vin Diesel, but he didn't SOUND like him,
nor was he as honest as I assume Vin Diesel to be . . .

The flooring . . .

So he quit on Saturday morning,
and then called me
(perhaps to finish the job
and have ME pay him?)
We'll never know, as I didn't
answer the phone
(thank dog for caller ID).

On Monday, when Joe brought in
two guys to finish the job,
they found that it had been
cut wrong. Luckily,
they were able to piece
it together satisfactorily.
(From what I heard Dan talking,
they were trouble
on the next job, and
Joe had to show them
his gun to get rid of them!)

Life in Florida sure is exciting!

Meanwhile, outside,
John & Brad ARE working . . .

FLORIDA

FLORIDA

Even tho the bushes are ours, I didn't want them inside
the fence; just more to trim and clean. The good side
was supposed to be in because of the bushes, but John
must not have gotten the memo. Probably just as well . . .

FLORIDA

. . . this is the garage side of the house and now no one can
tell us later that the fence needs to be turned around.

Work doesn't bother us; we can watch it for hours

Yep, every fence needs
someone to hold it up.

(And nope, Mike didn't
last much longer
on Joe's crew.)

It's too bad, I told Joe,
that you can't clone
John & Brad . . .
they're your best workers.

FLORIDA

Today's the day I choose the colors:
base color, Damsel; accent color, Blackberry;
secondary accent color (fascia, soffit, gutters, windowsills),
Arizona Cream, which seemed somewhat apropos . . .

FLORIDA

No one but me likes them; Joe even threatens to NOT use them!
He brings some samples and has Mike paint strips on
various places around the house - in sun, in shade, etc. -
so I can see the colors in all conditions.

I insist . . . reminding Joe that *I* am the paying client
and *he* won't have to live here.
The next day, Joe admits they look better than he thought they would.

No matter how many beds I put down,
Rosie manages to sleep in between them, or roll off one . . .

FLORIDA

We have two uncrated days to look forward to. GOOD NIGHT!
