ALL IN A DAY'S WORK 13 JULY 2015
First, the fireplace . . . oh, did I forget to mention that it's not going in the living room? Now that the tow truck is no longer parked across the street, the view from those big windows will suffice to be the focus. The fireplace is now going into what I'm calling the Library/Computer Room. Next, the bookcases . . .
Because the fireplace is darker than I thought it'd be; my original plan of two bookcases on either side of it isn't going to work. the two woods in such close proximity "fight".
Time to put Plan B in place: Fireplace in other corner . . . . . . and the bookcases along the other wall . . .
. . . and I replace the handles with brushed nickel ones. Of course. The windows are too bare . . . . . . but I don't want to add full curtains, just something to "soften" their look.
Short curtain rods on each side and one sheer curtain panel seem to do the trick . . .
