Those who know me well know that I do. not. like. noise.
Or obstruction of a nice view.
The (rental) neighbors (the ones who tell me they LOOOOOVE
the neighborhood "'cause it's so quiet"),
have a motorcycle that is revved up & down the street for no apparent reason;
drive a truck with no muffler; play games that involve yelling &
screaming & thumping til 11:30 at night under my bedroom window.
They also have two aluminum trailers parked RIGHT alongside our fence
and sticking out above that fence so I see them from every window
of the house except the front ones (which overlooked the
OTHER neighbor's [illegally-parked] tow truck,
that comes & goes at all times of the day & night,
til he was told by the city to put it somewhere else).
They leave, taking their motorcycle, their boat, their jet skiis,
their games, their five cars, their truck and their trailers.
Bought a house (pity their new neighbors)
and I had two weeks of peace, quiet and a nice view of trees
from all the windows.
New neighbors moved in; retired serviceman & family, I was told.
On Sunday, I heard the motorcycle revving up.
On Tuesday, THIS moves in right next to (if not touching) our fence . . .
. . . it is now the first thing I see in the morning,
and the last thing I see at night.
Another factor to consider as we decide where to live.
On the plus side, however, I've had some very nice times,
hangin' with Noel & Elaine at their pool and going to dinner,
visiting with Noah & Holly & Holly's Mom, Annette,
meeting Patricia & her hubby Henry at a Hawaiian restaurant
(having left my camera at home), and with other folks in the area.
And I didn't have to SHOVEL the rain,
nor worry 'bout having a flooded basement.
