LUNCH IN THE BUSH

This is completely out of character for us!

This was a day with David Armbrust (an absolute MUST is a day with this guy. Unbelievable . . . his website doesn't do it justice, but have a look HERE. This would be the highlight of all highlights. Unforgettable.

We shared the day with a lovely couple from Connecticut, USA, on their honeymoon. Such nice people, and enthralled with the birds & animals. We had so much to talk about!

David takes you on an incredible day out, first to his own rainforest sanctuary full of wild but very trusting birds & pademelons (tiny wallabies), then to another wonderful place that very few people can go to, called Mt. Lewis. It contains a range of very rare rainforest plants, which gave us much to investigate.

He also provides a very elegant lunch:
Cool drinks, pan-fried barramund & salads,
which he cooks beside the most beautiful small creek
. . . you can see how nice it is. I think you can tell
which one is Bill & which is David.

The afternoon was then spent on the west side of the
Atherton Tableland, in entirely different country (more
'outback') & habitats, so our American
couple had a taste of many environments.

It was quite a day.
