Gayle Kiesow writes: Here is Lacey in one of her safe spots. You can see her rump area, smooth as leather, but it does not seem to hurt her; her tail is also bald. Photo courtesy Gayle Kiesow This is how she is most of the time . . . I was able to hold her for about 1/2 hour today; she remained tense, but did not try to jump down. Photo courtesy Gayle Kiesow I took the scissors to her eye hair and started working on cutting mats; she did not mind that at all. It is strange, if a dog is whimpering, you know how her body/chest kind of heaves up & down a little, taking in breaths? She does that once in a while, but nothing comes out; so far not a sound of any kind, but it looks like she is crying. So sad! I do have hope today though, with holding her, which we will be doing A LOT. Photo courtesy Gayle Kiesow Our Miss Mollie . . . in her summer 'do. The picture sure does not show it, but she looks really, really cute and so tiny at 15 pounds, compared to Miss Lacey at 25 pounds.
