Tavish is an absolute doll . . . he is so sweet! We had the meet & greet, which I am often leery about, because Mickey (a/k/a Mr.Grumpy when a new foster comes to "his" house), can get crabby. I couldn't believe that there was no growling, no snarling, absolutely nothing! Mickey even let Tavish look out the same window AND put his paws on the same windowsill as he was!
Maggy was her usual happy self; she could not care less if there is another dog . . . they were even lying under my desk together tonight while I was on the computer.
Tavish has been making himself at home here . . . stealing all the toys and running crazily through the house with them in his mouth. We've had no problems taking them away from him, either. He will gently mouth you while you roughhouse with him. When he got just a tiny bit more forceful, I just told him NO and he stopped immediately.
Tavish, Mickey & Maggy May
I have to say he is a really good little guy and very loving; loves to have those big ears rubbed. Hopefully he will continue to stay this way . . . even after he begins to feel more at home . . . after all, he is a Cairn!!
And ya know what, Maggy?
The next day, Shannon writes:
He has shown no aggression at all . . . but funny thing is he has taken every toy - about 30 of them - and carried them and left a few in each room of the house! Doesn't know how to play, but will try to play tug-of-war if he could, or rather if we would, but we don't! I still think though that there is more to this little guy, but he's still scared and a little leery.
Joe put him in bed with Maggy & me this morning, and he slept curled up next to His Girl Maggy for about another hour or so! I could get to love this guy a whole lot . . . he makes it so easy . . . .
