Wheatons from left to right, all fosters:
Gayle writes:
Lacey wants to stay in the bedroom on the floor tucked in a corner on a very comfy bed I made up for her. She has never walked out of that room on her own. I have to carry her; a leash does not work and a tap with the foot is a NO NO, obvisously, she's been kicked, a lot.
Carry her out to the screened porch and you have to put her out that door onto the deck where she will go to a flower bed area attached and a step down and pee or poop. She will also pee/poop on a mat by the door. Then right back in, BUT you have to put something in the door because she will not come back onto the porch if you are there.
Ok, now we are on the screened porch where she will sit and look in the doors. She will not come into the house if you are there so the door stays open until she comes in. If Bob is in the room she won't come in. Thank doG she is moving a little quicker lately with the extreme heat and the door standing open for her. If I do not catch her, she will scurry back to the bedroom and her safe haven.
I make her come out and be with the family when I sit to rest. She likes the others; I do think the new girl, Trixie & Dixie, have helped her a little bit. She will stay on the couch as long as you are watching her, but turn your back and she is gone. But like now she will spend the evening in the family room.
Today I put her food bowl in the next room from the bedroom and made her come to it and she did without too much hesitation. Of course, no one was around or she wouldn't.
If I approach her - she and I get along really well - she acts as if I am going to hurt her.
Poor, poor baby . . . sometimes just for a few seconds she will get happy and she is great.
She sleeps in our bed every night for human contact. Last night I had put a towel on my pillow, wet hair at bed time and she kept getting ahold of the corner of it and pulling it off to chew on it. That was her little bit of play time, did it three different times.
Sometimes she will get happy for a couple of seconds and throw herself against the pillows and want her belly rubbed. I am always there for her, I love her, she breaks my heart.
