He was sometimes able to have a good run with his relatives, though, and here is Tristan in the foreground being chased by Nephew Peanut and Niece Houdini (trailing them both at the right of the picture). Peanut crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in 1995.

Do you see a family resemblence? Believe it or not, the Airedale breed, here exemplified by Stevie, is descended from a brown & black terrier, long since extinct, and the Otter Hound, here exemplified by Zoey.
The Otter [Otter than what?, I've always wondered.] Hound was introduced into the breed background so that the Airedale would continue the chase after beaver, muskrat & other water creatures when they went into the water.
On 5 May 1997, Stevie writes: Aroooooo, Misha. This is note from your cousin-doggie Stevie in Minnesoda.	Auntie Kitty who owns Zoey the Otterhound gots a new Airedale pup, baby Ian. Ian lives wif Kitty because she had to send her old Airedale, Spencer, to Rainbow Bridge last winter. I am not sure if I likes pups all that much. Still, he doesn't pick on me like other doggies do.
We had bunches of peoples & doggies over this weekend for Auntie Kitty's birfday party. There was about 23 doggies here but we couldn't all runandplay at the same time 'cause some doggies don't play well wif others (like Cinnamon & Katie, who are awfully bossy).
	Tigger dog who pesters me a lot and still he gets to sleep onna bed. Boy is he spoileded. Sometimes there ain't no justice even for us Airedales.
