In the Province of British Columbia, Canada, live AmyMarie, Robert and their pack of 7.5 dogs. Yes, I wrote 7.5 - AmyMarie shares Bullet with her (AmyMarie's, not Bullet's) granddaughter, Amber. AmyMarie still has time to be a member of AIREDALE LIST, where Misha, April & Cari made her acquaintance, ADT LOVERS LIST, TERRIER LIST & CANINE LIST. Now, come and meet "The Fornelli Pack":

Broomhilda, the Rescue Australian Terror, was abandoned in January1996, and went through five homes in seven months. She was about 10 to 12 years old, and had cruciate ligament surgery in March 1997.

Dutchess was McGwin's best buddy,
AmyMarie writes: "She was a tri-colour roly-poly puppy in the middle of an all-white litter when my daughter and I paid $25 for Dutchess. We needed a companion dog for our Airedale McGwin. My husband was not impressed with the new family member; I announced, 'She will be a special dog, wait and see.'
"Dutch-Girl fullfilled her role as companion dog for McGuire and later McGwin. The neighbours would tell me of the two of them walking shoulder to shoulder across our pasture patrolling for intruders. It came as a surprise
when Dutchess showed us she instinctively could herd the horses.
"She never did do anything special or stand out in anyway. Loyalty, companionship and memories she gave in abundance. We knew last winter she would probably never make it through another but we continued to ignore the signs she had stayed with us as long as it was possible.
"Today my husband held her as she went to sleep for the last time. Our vet did not have good news about the old girl's health. Pain killers would have to have been so strong as to keep her unconscious. The arthritis was in her
back as well as all the joints. I am comforted by knowing she never knew a day in her life without love and the warm companionship of humans and Airedales."
HEAVEN'S DOGGY-DOOR
My best friend closed her eyes last night,
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
Today, there was no gentle nudge
But an Angel just appeared to me,

Yet not farewell,
Where I go you too shall dwell.
I am gone before your face,
A moment's time, a little space,
When you come where I have stepped,
You will wonder why you wept.

As her head was in my hand.
The Doctors said she was in pain,
And it was hard for her to stand.
As I cradled her in my arms.
Were of her younger, puppy years,
And OH . . . her many charms.
With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart thats filled with tears
Remembering our joy-filled days.
And she said, "You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
SHE's installed a 'doggy-door'"!
