On 15 January 2006, Christie writes: Introducing . . . Aire-abella Anneliese Airedale! Still in Kansas 'til Feb 4 or 5. We were in the car 12 hours today!

23 January, from Bella's breeder: Here's Bella girl playing this afternoon; she is the pack leader these days. She has No Fear! They are enjoying exploring outside.

And on 11 February 2006 comes the good word: We drove through a driving snowstorm . . . well, maybe just heavy flurries . . . to Kansas City to meet Debe. We met at Cabela's and it was snowing pretty hard or I would have taken a picture of Debe & Bella. Her brother was being picked up to go all the way to DeKalb, Illinois. It was a quick exchange due to the blowing snow & cold temps. I held her for a bit, then put her in her crate, where after a short bit of yowling and a stop for gas, I moved to the back seat and took the crate door off and she went in very willingly and slept all the way home, as you can see from the photo! She has already checked out the back yard, done her business, drank a bit, ate a bit and is now playing in the kitchen! She's no fraidy-cat!
