It's a go! I drive to Schnectady, NY to pick him up on Saturday. He will be Deerwood's Kelvin Hot Shot, born on 7 February 2006. I am so excited!
NOTHING would make Lesley this excited except . . . another dog . . . for her birthday . . .

Hi Mom,
It's me. It's your Kelvin!! I am excited about meeting you but I am a bit nervous about the long car ride. I will do my best to be a brave boy. There is so much to learn in this big, big world that seems to be getting bigger every day! I really don't like walking around at the end of a long, long string that Miss P calls a leash. They are no fun! Miss P says I have to get used to it if I want a "career".
She also told me that my new life in Massachusetts will be the greatest life ever for a puppy like me. She is trying to teach me how to smile and say "cheese" so that you can take lots of pictures of me and send them to her . She says that you take the bestest pictures.
I will miss Miss P, Aunt Cookie and my brothers and sisters. I may be a little sad for a few nights so please be patient with me while I get used to my new family, my new house, my new bed, my new toys, my new friends, my new grass and everything else that will be new.
I can't wait to meet Cameron!! Does she have a tail that I can chase and chew on??????? I got yelled at today for chasing and chewing on Jillie the Border Collie's tail. I only did it a little. Jillie didn't have to be so mean about it. She has lots of other hairs.
I can't wait to kiss you. Do you sing?? I like singing!!! You can make up any kind of song and I will like it. Miss P sings the same song to us every day of our lives and we always run right up to her for kissin' and huggin' when we hear it. Sometimes Sis Kora gets so happy when she hears it that she piddles!!
