This is what Monty does when he's tired, like a child with its thumb. He loves his toys, takes them in the yard, in the car, and at bedtime the toys are pitched upstairs into the hall where we sleep (yes, Monty does help - he makes numerous trips) and carries them into the bedroom when it's time to go to sleep. He also knows them by name, e.g., Ducky, Din, Little Din, etc.
In June 1999, Rosemary writes: Maxine (aka Maxi), the recent addition to the Quinn family, came from Bellmore, Long Island, is five years old and a bundle of energy. She needs a firm hand, a full stomach and a loving touch. She's doing just great in her new home, loves to run and bark, roll and eat grass, dig holes (her own or ones that Monty has started - "just helping him out" - is not adding to the 'Dale tracks' on the property, as she jumps from the patio over the retaining wall onto the grass (shortcut), and has eliminated any need for a bug zapper outside or an exterminator inside. She came from the Sanbarda Kennels in upstate New York who breed large Airedales. Her Mother was a Sanbarda, her Father was also a Sanbarda but has a lot of Outchita Airedales in his line.
Maxine's formal photograph: Here she is in a 'summer do', and yes, she does look like a greyhound in an Airedale suit. Look at those legs, check out that profile and yes, she is a redhead. Take out the camera, she sits, turns and waits for you to take her picture.
	Maxine loves music; well, as long as it's not too loud. "Someone please turn down the volume!!"
This picture was taken the day Montgomery & Maxine were introduced: "First impressions are everything. Hey, why don't they get that poor dog a haircut! Well, he's very cute (a real blonde), but very shy. He's getting over that now."
	Maxine as a puppy, exact age unknown, but even in this picture, you could see the legs and yes, she was willing to take on eight-year-old Terry. Terry let her win this one! Welcome, Maxine; you are loved!
On 21 February 2001, Roger crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
In March 2006, Maxine crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
In August 2008, Montgomery crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

RAINBOW BRIDGE Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.
