The Trio of Trouble is now the Duo of Destrcution.
Baron has left this earth. The house is strangely quiet
even with Lindy dashing and pouncing.
We are sadder than words can describe,
but our hearts are full of memories that time cannot erase.
This lovely boy was a gift from a dear friend.
She thought he needed us - little did she know
how much we needed him. So many memories.
At his first conformation dog show, when he was six months old,
he moved toward the judge and executed a perfect sit,
complete with a fabulous smile.
Everyone at the ring in Buffalo laughed and he was delighted.
In the first moments of meeting his handler for Canadian shows,
he lifted his leg on her!! She loved him anyway.
His heart had room for every one of the many foster dogs
we brought into his home. He was never mean-spirited with them
as a big boy Airedale might be with a new guy on his turf.
He enjoyed his therapy work, especially visits to the college students
at the University of Rochester during exam weeks.
He loved everyone at the vet's office and they appreciated his kind nature.
Our vets are a husband and wife team.
They were both sitting on the floor with him tonight as all four of us cried.
The jury is still out on whether he liked flying with Mr. Aire,
but he did not like the life-size tiger in the FBO at Frederick.
For sure, he was motivated to be anywhere that Mr. Aire was all the time.
He liked playing jokes on humans such as bringing the recyclables
back into the house from the bin. He loved exploring and sniffing the breeze,
especially when he was geocaching. He loved waffles on Sunday morning,
despite his impatience with the time it took for me to make them.
He loved us and we loved him.
Baron, the quiet boy with great confidence and the huge heart,
has taken a big piece of our hearts with him to heaven.
Physical life may be defeated but life goes on;
character survives, goodness lives and love is immortal. -- Colonel Robert G Ingersoll
