Description:
The Halliburton wreck was sunk on May 4, 1998 off the Southern (south eastern) Coast of Utila Island in the Honduras. It's just off the point/peninsula and the wreck is 30 meters long and 10 meters high. This was a cargo ship belonging to the Halliburton company and the coral heads surrounding it make it a great dive site for the advanced diver.

DooRag the Diver spotted on the webcam,
watching the boat loading . . . 1:30 p.m., Utila time . . .

We had a MISS on the Whaleshark Excursion.
There was one, but we couldn't snorkel with it.
The boat captain didn't recognize it right away;
at first he thought it was a large Manta Ray.
(Hey, may get to swim with those too!)
It was about 15' under water.

He accidentally drove the boat over it while turning around.
No damage done to it, but he did scare it away.

SO there's at least one Whaleshark here.
Maybe more soon.

Learned a lot about tagging Whalesharks from John;
also about them, their behaviors, and human interaction with them,
as part of the Whaleshark Excursion
(got nothing like this on Wednesday;
an advantage of having John as dive master.)
