Say Hi to Shilo! Not a Cairn, but a little nugget that needed help.
Fifteen years old, blind and partially deaf.
Owner-surrender due to the owner being put in assisted living.
There is an issue with the local shelters in our area.
as they boast a high kill rate of pets put in their "care".
Sandie found out about this one, contacted the shelter and
indicated that she would be there to pick him up by 2 p.m.
on the following day if he was still available.
She got there at 1:55 p.m.; they were wheeling him down the hall
with his little blanket and only toy, to be euthanized.
Sandie scooped him up and took him home.
(Lucky for them it was her, not me).
He will live out his days with us and the Cairns!
