23 December 2019 This is Patricia's plantling after I stuck in two more lobes that fell off, one with two fairly large buds on it. Hope it takes. 24 December 2019 First opening flower . . . 26 December 2019 And now it REALLY gets going . . . 28 December 2019 Two days later, at our Cairn/Chorkie/Havanese Get-Together . . . If the weather had been sunnier and warmer, this would have been fully in bloom on Christmas Day. And now, the other side is also exploding in bloom. Jackie, knowing that I miss rescuing poor neglected Cairns and bringing them back to health and a normal life, brought me this poor neglected Christmas Cactus to nurture back to health . . . The few shriveled-up blooms were a deep red; I cleaned it up, gave it food & water and now it is basking in fresh air & sunlight. It'll be interesting to see what it looks like by next Christmas; it may even bloom some more this year, if the buds stay on. You can be sure there'll be a progress report in 2020! 30 December 2019 All four sides . . .
