This June, I repotted all my plants HERE. Despite this, or perhaps because of this, most of the cacti - even the ones I broke off during the year and simply stuck into some dirt - have budded. However, some buds are not going to open until New Year's Day, or even later in 2023. As usual, I began the [Schulz] flower fertilizer on 1 September; by 29 November, buds appeared . . . The one that started it all . . . Howliday gift from Jackie I. in 2018 . . . . . . which had many blooms along the bottom and nowhere else, for some reason. One of the two that Jackie I. brought to me in Summer 2020 to bring to bloom . . . This may be a Thanksgiving Cactus . . . . . . as before I took this picture, I deadheaded over 30 blossoms. Jackie I.'s white flowers . . . . . . which plant has greatly improved since being repotted in a SMALL pot . . . Whenever a lobe drops off, I stick it in the soil . . . so far, so good . . . By 3 December . . . The one that Jackie I. rescued from Walmart after the Howlidays 2019 . . . . . . which I did not repot . . . Jackie's white flowers . . . . . . aren't they gorgeous? The fuchsia flowers . . . . . . and no, this one did not get repotted . . . . . . it appears happy enough just the way it is. The cream flowers . . . I have to admit I was not impressed with the color the first year this bloomed . . . . . . but this year, the color is much deeper and brighter, and quite lovely. One of several variety pots . . . What I like about the variety pots is I never know what color the lobes are when I stick them in the dirt, so I'm pleasantly surprised. On 23 December . . . The Walmart waif . . . You can see from this pic, taken from above, how many buds still have to open . . . The original fuchsia plant . . . Pink flowers match the pots . . . . . . and Tipsy Gipsy, too . . . (I started to trim her tail, then realized it was completely matted - thanks to SweeTea - so I cut off all her tail feathers.) Another of the "variety pots" is going to bloom, probably in January 2023 . . .
