Funny story #2: The squirrel & the new fence Neal watched as a squirrel JUMPED to the top of the fence from the ground, just as they used to do with the wooden fence. Because this fence is at least six inches taller, s/he missed the top; not being able to get a grip on the vinyl, s/he slid all the way down. This happened too quickly to take a photo, unfortunately, but I can say that I have yet to see a squirrel run along the top of the fence, as they were wont to do previously. I did see one go UNDER the back gate; we'll have to put in some fill. The others are just using the bushes and walking on the ground, AND OVER THE SCREEN HOUSE, which we are NOT happy about. (Six inches taller also means the neighbor's motion-activated spotlight no longer shines directly into my bedroom.) Dave came back on Saturday to install the three gates . . .
