HURRICANE MILTON,
THE GRANDE FINALE

10 JUNE 2025

Finally, the day I've been waiting for since 10 October 2024 . . .
THE PLANTINGS!

I contacted Burysek Tree Service,
who had done such a great job with clearing the fence line
and removing other damaged and dead brush and trees;
Charles B and his crew came to hear my landscaping ideas
for along the Toniwood Lane fence,
which is the public side of the yard and DEFinitely needed landscaping.

After much discussion, and much searching for
what I wanted by Adan, and a lot of waiting for THE DAY by us,
Adan called early in the morning of 10 June . . .
he was already standing by the fence with all the plants unloaded . . .

HURRICANE

I just love this photo!

. . . Adan had to visit TEN nurseries to get the plants I had requested.
Now, THAT's customer service.

This would be a good day to plant, as the weatherguessers
promised rain from Wednesday thru Sunday.

HURRICANE

"It's a bird . . . It's a plane . . . No, it's a storm cloud!
(The pics will be getting darker because the rain came a day early. Of course.)

Then Frank, Charles B, Anthony & Adan went to work . . .

. . . setting out the plants . . .

HURRICANE

. . . digging the holes . . .

HURRICANE

"WE THINK
WE HIT OIL, BOSS!"

At about this time,
thunder, lightning & rain
came on,
and we all headed
for cover for about
a half hour.

HURRICANE

Back to digging . . .

HURRICANE

. . . there were a lot of roots left from
the bushes that had been taken out back in January.
They had to be cut out with a chain saw.

At the diagonal part of the fence, the Bougainvilleas were set out like this . . .

HURRICANE

. . . but after driving by the next day and having my OCD kick in,
I asked Charles if I could have them replanted.
Adan came over the next day to replant these two like this . . .

HURRICANE

. . . and to discuss another landscaping job.
The small Bougainvillia has TWO-TONED flowers,
which we will be very interested to watch grow,
as neither of us had ever seen one before.

Around the other corner of the fence,
in front of the panel next to the gate . . .

HURRICANE

HURRICANE

. . . I think this may have been Adan's favorite Bougainvillea.
