NOW PLAYING: RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!
(INSTRUMENTAL VERSION)

>

COURTYARD VIEW FROM FRONT DOOR

Benches are protected behind one of the bamboo groves . . .

HURRICANE

Potted plants & bird bath are tipped over . . .

HURRICANE

. . . by us, not by the wind, altho we knew that would probably happen,
as it did last week during Hurricane Helene.

The courtyard is flooded because there is anti-weeds fabric under the stones . . .

HURRICANE

. . . so rain drains slowly, but it does drain eventually.
Luckily, no basement to flood, altho we do miss having basement storage.

It's also a mess, mostly due to the bamboo,
but we aren't having it cleaned out until all the rains are done;
probably late November, early December.
If I don't like the view from my office slider,
I can just close the blinds.

INDOORS

The library, with the lanai tables . . .

HURRICANE

Another table and some more plants . . .

HURRICANE

. . . some of my failing Christmas Cacti.
I seem to have lost my green thumb.

Chairs, cushions & towels in my bedroom . . .

HURRICANE

. . . as well as the Savannah Bird Girl, who looks sadder than usual.

Even Emmie's night crate
is used to dump things on . . .

HURRICANE

Electric patio heater for
cold weather lanai sitting . . .

HURRICANE

Neal's bedroom has almost everything from the bar area . . .

HURRICANE

. . . which we use more for outside things like vacuum cleaners, etc., than as an actual bar.

HURRICANE

Imagine the FUN we're going to have,
cleaning this all up and putting it all back in place.
There are reports of another hurricane following this one,
so maybe we'll wait until that one has passed over, or by.

WE LOST ELECTRICITY THIS EVENING.

When H. Milton has finally run its course,
I'll put up some pics of the mess it has left behind.
Stay tuned!
