HURRICANE MILTON,
THE AFTERMATH:

SO, WHAT NOW?

27 NOVEMBER

Anim

I drove by the debris field yesterday; the household goods piles
are much smaller, but the brush piles are as tall as ever.
And there is still more to arrive.

As a side note, Neal read yesterday that PASCO County,
thru which I drove yesterday,
is no longer (or never did) collecting brush debris;
if there are piles of brush debris on your curb,
it's your job to get rid of it.
The logistics of doing that are impossible,
so I guess I'll be seeing those piles every time we go to
the Hyundai dealership or I go to get a mani/pedi.

And THAT's why we pay higher property taxes in PINELLAS County!

As far as we are concerned, I doubt that anything will happen
with the fenciing, landscaping or irrigation system until 2025.

Meanwhile, we'll have to live with a useless fence,
as well as a landscape mess. Oh well, that's life in Florida!

Speaking of which . . . this is typical Florida incompetence:
A week or two after the landscaping consultant
was here to give us landscapping ideas and an estimate,
I texted him to see what was what. He had no idea who I was,
his excuse being that he lost or ruined his phone,
so didn't have any customers' names or phone numbers anymore

I had asked him when he was here
if he shouldn't be writing anything down,
and he said, "No, I keep it all in my head.".

Obviously not; I think we're in for a rough ride, come 2025.
