Despite the fact that we were originally looking for somewhere that didn't need doing up . . . we ended up with the builders in for six weeks. It was an interesting experience and we all learned a lot from it. (Warning: This last sentence was constructed on the basis of "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all".)

It was a close run thing but building work finished on December 18 and the move happened on the Friday before Christmas - December 22. No pictures exist of the actual moving day which is just as well . . . we don't want to distress those of a nervous or delicate constitution. Now, nearly four weeks on, the house feels like home and there seem to be no regrets at leaving Hyde Park Mansions.
