When Connie Versagi read that Lizzie was coming to Ohio,
On 11 February, Connie writes:
Tomorrow afternoon Lizzie & I are going to meet. She is excited to meet Max. Max & I are going to pick her up and then go out for coffee and a walk in an old-fashioned-type town that has a waterfall and old-time shoppes.
We are getting floods and 70-mph winds tonight and in the morning . . . I hope it settles down by the afternoon! Max has a brand-new support suit to wear that helps me carry some of his weight when he walks. We will be taking it out for its first spin tomorrow.
12 February:
Getting pictures was a task today, as it was so cold, and terribly windy. As you can see though, Lizzie & Max became great friends very quickly. We were in a little town called Chagrin Falls. You can see the water rushing over the falls behind them.
We have been under flood watches here as the rain and the ice in the rivers were making things pretty clogged up. It has now broken open and the water was just rushing behind them.
The other pictures are from inside a dog bakery. Max & Lizzie were enjoying seeing all the treats. Max finally taste-tested a treat from Lizzie. We had a great time, and our last words with Lizzie were about planning her coming back in the spring, when we can walk and not be frozen!
